Cocovít Recipes: Infused Waters

Flavored Waters

We all know we should be drinking more water for healthier skin, yet we often are tempted to grab a soda or sugary drink simply because they taste better. Don’t we all wish we craved water the way we crave these other beverages? With a few simple tricks it may be possible. Try one of our favorite infused water combinations and say bye-bye to sugary drinks, and hello to clear, healthy skin.

Jalapeño and Watermelon Water: This zesty combo has sweet watermelon loaded with vitamins A and C, and spicy jalapeños containing capsaicin, which causes the body to release endorphins. That happiness hormone creates an energizing rush.

Apples and Cinnamon: Combine cinnamon sticks, ground cinnamon, and apples make the perfect fall flavored water. Cinnamon, considered a “skinny spice“ aids in lowering blood sugar concentration and improves insulin sensitivity, and for apples, there’s a reason for the saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

Strawberries and Basil: This gorgeous medley of strawberries and basil provides vitamin C from the berries and iron from the herb, which has been linked to keeping wrinkles at away.

Raspberry and Pineapple Chunk Ice Cubes: Freeze ice cubes of raspberries and pineapples. You can also try a savory version by freezing olives in brine, and adding to a glass of seltzer.

Orange Slices and Vanilla Bean: Hydrate yourself with this blend of orange slices and vanilla bean. If you don't have vanilla bean, you can simply substitute the pod with vanilla extract; both are naturally high in antioxidants.

Blueberries, Peach, Lemon, and Mint: This supercharged combo is filled with antioxidant from the fruit with refreshing mint, a carotene-rich aromatic herb—taste like a non-alcoholic version on sangria.

Lime Slices and Basil: Go green by grouping lime and fragrant basil, this combination provides a boost of vitamin C and iron.

Happy Hydrating!
