Pre and Post-Sun Care for Your Skin: Sometimes we inadvertently get a little too much sun, we've all been there. Cocovít Coconut Oil is an all over moisturizer which can be used both pre and post sun to hydrate and soothe the skin. The oil's moisturizing properties are perfect for parched, sunburned skin. Not only can the oil help moisturize and soothe your sunburned skin, but can also help your burned skin heal faster. Apply as needed throughout the day to keep the skin hydrated and prevent peeling.
Revive Dry/Damaged Hair: Throughout the summer months, all that salt water, chlorine and sun can really take a toll on our hair. Cocovít Coconut Oil is rich in fatty acids which will nourish and moisturize the scalp and hair. Simply apply a quarter-size amount of oil to your hair, (starting from your roots down to your tips), and throw your locks into a loose bun before you jump in the pool or hit the beach. Leave the oil in for several hours before washing it out with shampoo and conditioner.
Get Glowing Summer Legs: Warm weather means you will be showing off your legs a lot more. Not only can you use Cocovít Coconut Oil as a safe and chemical-free, hydrating shave oil, but you can also help maintain your summer glow with a super simple scrub to remove dead layers of skin. Combine 1/4 cup Cocovít Coconut Oil and 1/2 cup sugar (or coffee grounds).
Soothe Bug Bites and Cuts: It is almost impossible to spend an entire summer outdoors without succumbing to those pesky, itchy bug bites or the occasional cuts/scrapes. Applying a thin layer of Cocovít Coconut Oil will protect and prevent the area from being exposed to dirt and bacteria, and can stop the itching sensation.
The Easiest (and best) Eye Make-up Remover: Warmer months tend to call for waterproof make-up but unfortunately that make-up can be quite difficult to remove (especially that mascara). Cocovít Coconut Oil easily breaks down even the most stubborn waterproof mascara. The natural oil contains vitamins and minerals that also stimulate lash growth.
The Perfect (natural) Beach Waves: Can't get to the beach but love those beachy summer waves? Simply combine 1 tsp of Cocovít Coconut Oil, 1 tsp of hair aloe vera gel, 1/2 tsp dead sea salt and 1 cup of water in a spray bottle. Spray on damp hair and scrunch.
Protect Your Lips: Our lips need to be protected and hydrated in the summer heat as much as our skin does. Simply rub a bit of Cocovít Coconut Oil on your lips before heading out and top up as needed throughout the day. Cocovít offers a 2oz option which is perfect to throw into any bag.
